I think having a wooden cigar might make one look equally ridiculous!

(In truth, I never gasp for one, but it's interesting to think of what it's like to be in chains).

Tried my first '05 Monte No1 that I got at Heathrow.

Went out for a walk in the freezing sunshine, not ideal conditions to sample a fine puro but needs must.

Gotta say I loved this smoke, Smooth, complex and delicious. Pre-draw was just right and very good burn with no re-lighting. Plenty of smoke.

Not much happened for the first inch or so (apart from discovering they are still a good, smooth smoke, nothing stale or nasty). Next came vanilla and woody spices washed over with a mellow typical Monte spice. Smoke stayed constant with vanilla, cedar and smooth spice all the way to the last inch where it got a little harsh but I still nubbed it.

Long, long finish, still enjoying it 2 hours later.

Nic, Craig, you got one of these each ...enjoy as I am keeping the rest for myself

Anyone else experience any '05 Monte's?

Well my cuban crafters cameroon was very nice and left a great taste in my mouth, kind of how a great nipple does.

A nice La Vieja Habano 54, Robusto (Leather Patch Series) this morning, whilst buggering around with the car. However, there was an additional element to the stogie fuelled saga
