Started with the RyJ Hermosos No.1 at JJ Fox. Was good, but nothing stunning.

After watching the Australians on youtube RAVE about the Montercristo Especial No.1 I had to try it so I smoked that skinny so and so at the Boisdale. Not my usual format of cigar at all but I can see the attraction. Flavourful and entertaining but again, I was not blown away.

The one annoying thing of the day was I really wanted a RyJ Cazadores. This cigar came up in discussion with a friend recently as it is supposed to be the strongest production Cuban cigar, especially when it does not have many years on it. It was also mentioned on the this forum recently. I failed to obtain one from either Wardour Street or the Boisdale, annoying! I did smoke a Hose L Piedra Cazadoirs though. Five pounds ninety for a stick in the Vintage House, Soho. I was shocked how good it was for a short filler cigar. A box of twenty five is less than fifty dollars to import I think. Nice to get some as a real casual smoke, maybe. I might come to my senses though.

"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
