Partagas Short for me tonight. Thought I'd grab a couple from the local as everyone seems to be going nuts for these lately. Admittedly, I'm insanely tired, but this didn't impress me at all. I've got another that I'll concentrate on when I can keep my eyes open.

A Cuban Crafters Rokkitsci sent me a while back for me today, a Cupido Criollo Corto. Nice spice throughout, not pepper, more subtly clove or nutmeg-like, some cocoa, creamy coffee, wood and a touch of earthyness, very nice.

Burn wasn't great but honestly, with those tastes it doesn't matter too much.

diplomaticos no 5 i think it was,

my first diplomaticos, gifted from maldetto, apologies but have to say i found it not to my taste. there was a back-taste not dissimilar to smoking cigarettes. a bit harsh but also light on flavour.
tomorrow i will make it up with the rocky patel decade, or a lusitania

ill send you a short from JJs vintage range next time i get a few. they are beautiful... stunning little smokes, maybe 8-10 years on them

A Boli RC on the drive home from work(surprise, surprise).
Tasted funky, not lovely at all. Got home, glass of port(couldn't taste that); glass of Cava with dinner(nothing going on there either)

Chicken or the egg? Can't work out whether the cigar fugged up my taste receptacles, or I've fell out with all my buds? Guess I'll have another go, later in the week

Sorry to hear that.

I've had a few of these in the past months as singles and while I agree they aren't the smoothest smokes I wouldn't call them light on flavour; still since this was from a new box I just receives, maybe I got a bad batch... hopefully not .

hey no worries man ill be interested to see how it fares with you. im not giving up on dips, heard too many positive reviews. will smoke the no2 sometime this week hopefully.
