Diplomaticos No. 2 - Came from CIV in the last stick in a stick.

A first for me so an interesting experience. Construction was good, a little looser filled that most of my sticks so a very easy burn and draw. A fair volume of smoke. For me the first half didn't do much, just a pleasant easy smoke but really came to life in the second half. Sweet, floral tones and very well controlled, never harsh and smoked it until I burnt my fingers. Overall a distinctly medium strength smoke, very easy going, reminded me a bit of a HDM EE. Not a powerhouse like the P2 or Monte No2. Would be great on a summers day with a jug of Pimm's. Thanks CIV!

Out back toasting an Oliva Serie G robusto box press. Nice Cameroon wrapper, incredible flavor, and $2.50 price tag make this a keeper.

Just finished a Fonseca no.1. I know I am probably one of the few to like this brand around here, but I find generally Fonsecas are fine light cigars.

This one burned almost perfectly and had a very interesting flavour evolution, not terribly intense but still very pleasant: sweet, creamy with a hint of spice to start, slightly earthy in the middle, finishing very cedary and smooth throughout.

Sat outside Ismail coffee and had a damn fine double espresso. Smoked a NUB Connecticut while I was at it. I expected to just tolerate it after the one Jimmeh smoked the other night but this was really rather enjoyable in its own, slightly odd way. I had taken mine out of the cellophane and let them rest in a humidor for around a week. This may be the secret to making them interesting.

I agree mate....the rest of the range is disappointingly average too (IMO)

Oh that's a shame to hear that lads as I've never smoked one but often looked at the brand with a view to. Price-wise, I was expecting to hear better. Oh well.

Good price-wise, but not worth the $$$.
