    Busy!

Had a busy day today, not sure why!

I did have an ERDM De luxe this morning, nice as ever.Going off to try and do justice to a RASS or Choix Supreme with some Lagavulin.

A Quintero something, courtesy of HabanoSy a while back. I reckon it's either a Breva or a Nacionale from the size.

Quite pleasant and it actually looks quite nice for the cheaper end of the scale. I'll do a write up with some pictures on my blog in a bit...

Today I smoked something new. It was a Malfetano Robusto. I don't have much information on it yet. I'm waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. I have one more Torpedo to smoke before I finsh my review of the blend.

good grief, what a miserable evening it is here in belfast! anyway, i called into my local ASDA after work this evening to buy my breakfast for work in the morning and saw some fantastic stuff!!!! firstly, in the alcohol section, chivis regal 12 year old 70cl, ?14!!!!! lot's of port on offer, as well as drambuie and irish mist, and an abundance of plymouth slo gin!!!! but wait........

at the cigarette counter..........cuban cigars!!!! WTF........in ASDA???? i just bought a punch petite coronation AT (?6) and an h upmann coronas junior AT (?4)! both smell lovely, though they feel a wee bit dry!!!! hopefully this'll sort me out (when i'm desperate) for my winter time smokes!!!

if it wasn't raining, i'd be smoking one of 'em now!!!!

          all the best,

          alex

              From Cuban Crafters:
Cuban Crafters Cuban Sandwich Tobacco Cigars are made the old fashioned way. The boquilla from the Cuban Crafters Cabinet Selection cigars is enveloped in long-filler tobacco by Master cigar rollers. It is then hand rolled in a rich Sumatra binder and finally wrapped in a premium Sumatra tobacco leaf. These special Cuban Sandwich torpedo cigars are all handmade at Tabacalera Esteli in Esteli Nicaragua. They are totally handmade with Cuban seed tobacco. The fertile soil of Nicaragua and a rich sumatra wrapper are combined with Tabacalera Esteli's knowledge of tobacco farming and cigar hand rolling. This cuban sandwich style cigar is medium bodied with a rich and smooth taste. They burn beautifully and emit an aroma that will generate compliments. Torpedos are 6 inches long with a ring gauge of 54. They are hand packed in a bundle of 25 cigars. SINCE THESE CIGARS ARE MADE FROM THE TOBACCO USED TO MAKE CUBAN CRAFTERS CABINET SELECTION CIGARS, ONLY A LIMITED QUANTITY ARE AVAILABLE.

To be perfectly honest, this is a cheap, bundle cigar that I couldn't resist because they sounded pretty decent and (when I bought them) they were on sale. Needless to mention my surprise when they turned out to actually be a very decent smoke.

They are currently being offered for $40 (USD) for a bundle of 25. I bought them last December for $30 (USD). That's less than one thin pound Sterling per stogie, chappies! Even if you're a CC purist, it's hard to resist having a tasty smoke that you can afford to just throw away if you're caught smoking in the boys room!
