POR LARRANGA - EXCLUSIVO REINO UNIDO
I had the afternoon off today so decided to toke off a Por Larranga gifted to me by Nic Wing. I didn't manage the fireside conditions you were recommended, Nic, but smoked it in idyllic circumstances in my smoke shack nonetheless with my dog Archie snuggled up with me on the leather sofa in my smoke-shack.
What can I say?
Well... This smoke was sublime and lasted almost two hours!
A fantastic even and trouble-free burn throughout. A beautiful, regular draw. Oodles of rich, slow-moving and thick smoke.
I don't think I've enjoyed a PL before. On this outing, I'll smoke more Por Larranagas in the future.
It was somewhat lighter than the heavier cigars I smoke by choice. It was similar to a Hoyo but with quite a bit more oomph. I tasted almonds and coffee. I worked it with about four good-sized mugs of Assam tea.
I'm meeting a chap I don't know tonight for a song-writing 'blind date' and this stick has put me in a creative frame of mind for sure.
I'm sure I smell like a stogie whore so I'll douche down ready for the meet.
On the drive home, I will knock off a Partagas D4.
Don't know about you, but one great cigar sets me up for another whenever possible.
I might go for days without after this.
A superb way to toke away a rather still, grey afternoon weather-wise here.
Thank you you big long fat bastard of a Havana.
A top-class smoking moment in blissful human solitude, nudged in the groin from time to time by my adoring pooch.
I love such times.
My first ever Por Larranaga.
