A Short Churchill (the cigar gifted to last weeks herf by CoH) with a couple of glasses of red before BBQing a few rib eyes and some pork belly, nice chillout after a crazy week.Comment

A Padron 5000 first thing this morning (well, about 11), followed shortly by a Punch Rare Corojo at lunchtime. Thanks to those who gifted these

The Monty was nice, not a frequent smoke for me as I find it an overly short smoke but pennies count now and it is just that bit cheaper...
Followed by an 898 varnished at Casa in Soho, it was underwhelming.
Next a Partagas D4 from my stash, horrid except for a small section mid-smoke. This was smoked at a party in a flat in the Soho area.
Finally a Hoyo Epicure No.2 also from my stash, great, just yummy and flavourful. This was over a double espresso at Bar Italia, Soho. GREAT espresso. This was with James and another friend of ours, a great Italian chap, what a character. We finished around 3am.

Gentlemen, I have just had my first plugged cigar :-(
A Fonseca No. 1. When i cut it, the draw was really tight. It still seemed workable, but i was wrong. The only way to get a decent amount of smoke through it was to struggle and puff several times, until it was bitter due to the heat. Disappointed. This was my only chance this week to sit in my nice garden on a sunny day and enjoy. Ruined. Tempted to grab a different cigar, but the bitterness from trying to get the fonseca to smoke has clouded my mouth, so i'll leave it.Warning: Smoking cigars may cause a slow and delicious death.Comment

Quite a cigar day for me.
Started with a HdM Petit Robusto followed by a San Cristobal La Punta gifted to me by my uncle. A lovely smoke, somewhere between a Monte 2 and a P2.
Finished off with a Partagas P2.
All lovely in the sun, I intend to repeat similarly on Sunday.Comment

I had a Bolivar Legendarios at the soho party - amazing smoke!!!!!!!! Then a toscano at bar italia. Interesting smoke- enjoyable. Wouldn't smoke regularly though...Comment

Do you know which one of the toscanos you had? there's quite a few kinds out there, some fully hand made, some part hand/part machine made (long filler assembled by hand and then machine rolled) and others fully machine made. Our friend brought them back from his brothers wedding. I think it was the Originale Riserva, but I am not sure. I will be talking to him tomorrow as I am hitting Sautters for him, I will try to ask.
