Finished my sampling of the new 2009 ELs (+ Trini Robusto T) today by trying the RyJ Duke. Always tricky on first tasting to be certain, but pick of the bunch for me - 54 gauge feels massive in the hand too

Just a FdC Preferidos for me. I did go to work with a Boli RC and a Choix Supreme but my boozy evening cancelled...

Just got done working out (I know...crazy). Going for the Cohiba Siglo II that was meant for yesterday, but could not smoke. It is a little young...box code Oct 08, but it has been in my humi for a few months, so time to try. I do prefer some habanos young, such as PSD4, so we will see. It is my first whirl at a Cuban Cohiba, so I will update how I got on.

Tonights shift is risky for cigars. I'm doing alarm response for a London Borough, so i'll get a few alarms due to the sheer number of properties. If i am lucky when i choose to light up, then i'll get to finish!

Tonights treat, should i find the time, is a Perdomo Habano Maduro Toro. I got one of these in a grab bag and it was superb, so i bought a few more

well, it's been a busy day........but i finally got around to having that trinidad reyes! can't remember who recommended it to me, but a big thanks! a lovely wee smoke, a very pleasant 45 minutes! flavour ways, it kinda reminded me of a monte no. 4 or no. 5, there was something floral about it, except i kept getting a taste of something i can't put my finger on! i thought i tasted something quite toffee like.....maybe even caramel! i was amazed it burned in an almost perfect straight line! a quality smoke, i'll be buying more of these as soon as i can make room in my humidor! maybe i should just buy another humidor!!! lol

                      all the best,

Well, i got to have that Perdomo. Was lovely. Great burn, loads of thick, flavorfull smoke.
Slightly ruined when i got back in the van and it wouldn't start! break down service came out and sorted things. Luckily i had no alarms during that period!

Lovely ain't they!? I've had various flavours come through to me. The most common is liquorice, so maybe that's what you couldn' put your finger on?
