P.S. Love the avatar...
Well for a slim cigar panetela size(Ninfa) not bad at all for some rare cigar from the 70s. When I first lit the cigar, it tasted a little muted but the draw was perfect, amazing for such a thin cigar. The cigar burned evenly and about 3 inches into the cigars it turned to be a very awesome smoke. The taste change into some floral and sweetness, halfway thru the cigar it freaking turned again on me and I had woody and spicy taste to it. All I can say the second half of the cigar was very amazing. one of the best smokes I had in a long time , beside the Dunhill Estupendos and other I have.
Btw the avatar is my boxes of Davidoff No1s from the 80's

A box of the Estupendos came up for auction back late last year...
Let's just say I had to pass up the opportunity to purchase as the price they fetched was equivalent to a small/medium family car... (A bargain in some peoples eyes I suppose...!!!)

Spent the weekend in town with the missus. Popped into Harrods on Sat and picked up one of each of the new Bolivar and R and J 09 LTE's. Hate paying retail but need to see what they are about.
On Sunday smoked a Siglo VI in Kensington Gardens in the sunshine. If this isn't the best stick in production it must be pretty close. When I smoke good Cohibas I ask myself why smoke anything else. I know a lot of people get over-excited on both sides of the Cohiba argument but the Siglo's (IV and VI) are fantastic. I would suggest that the VI is superior to the Monte 08 hands down. OK very different smokes but still bear comparison.
We finished off with afternoon tea at the Lainsborough, probably the best formal afternoon tea we have ever experienced (this comparison includes Ritz, Browns, Athanayum etc.).Originally posted by Simon BolivarLittle medical correction there Steve, you will surely die...but not from smoking these

Can I ask, how much it was sold for in U.S. Dollars. I know I spent some big coins for mines.

In any case, Santa Damiana Tubulares on Sunday for me. Very well constructed cigar, very good burn, but not exactly my cup of tea: found them a bit too steady with no real evolution. My Cigar blog: Cigar Review Rag
