A mighty fine smoke Kona. I just recently discovered the JL 2 myself after all the hype on this forum.

You would think half the people on this forum work for them the way they kept on about it, but fortunately it lived up to the hype.

I also tried the JL2 last week and found it to be a pretty good cigar. I like to have a new cigar at least twice over a couple of weeks before deciding to get more of them or not. This one has great promise!!

A little echo from the other day...

A little bit of this, with a little bit of that

            A JL2 with a snifter of Jura.

            Same game, different time.

had a J Fuego gran reserva corojo no. 1 , at first , since its my first corojo, i was expecting the pepperami bloke to jump out and say "whats wrong to spicy for ya!", but it actually mellowed in middle part and was a very pleasant smoke to the end. As per usual , no rain, so roof down on the mx5 and a Bon Vita churchill on the drive home from golf.

                Pinar Habanitos......

                ...............WOW..A little prezzie from Larrysputnik....

A pre-embargo Cuban cigar rolled with tobacco from 1956. The tobacco had been seized and stored in a warehouse until a few years ago when the US government finally released it to the company that had imported it and allowed them to roll and sell it.

Bloody good cigar, with a very special flavour....LOVE IT..

                Cheers Mate....

So far today an ERdM gifted me by spacemonkey (not sure of the vitola though!?!). Damn fine cigar nevertheless...

Just finished my dinner and now going to settle down with a couple of sticks, the Diplomaticos No.2 and the Vegas Robaina Unicos. Going to pair these with the Talisker 10 year old and see how I get on...!?!

Well it is bank holiday after all...!!!

                      Cheers, HabanoSy

More info on the cigar Larry sent me....(which was a damn good smoke)

                        Pre-embargo.

The cigar is from pre-embargo tobacco that was rolled recently when the U.S. courts ruled that the company owning the Cuban tobacco can roll it and sell it. 50,000 pounds of Cuban tobacco had been seized and warehoused in 1956 or 1958 when the trade embargo went into effect. In 2000 the courts said that these 50,000 pounds of tobacco can be sold to the public because it had entered the U.S. prior to the embargo.

Many companies claim to have pre-embargo, but they usually use NC filler and binder and only use Cuban wrappers. These cigars are all Cuban tobacco; filler, binder and wrapper, which is why people want them so bad.

Here is a link to the store I bought it from. It was $20 a stick.
