Foundation cigar company Charter Oak. Never tried this before but it had the smoothest, oiliest wrapper I?ve ever seen. Smelt of dark chocolate and tasted sublime. If you?re into NC?s, I recommend getting hold of one. A box purchase for me!

Wrapper on that?s gorgeous, decent prices too might have to pick some up
Had a second herf at Casa Bolivar this evening, with Zowie & our fellow member Bart, who had come up from Brussels on his motorbike.
Zowie arrived early so we cracked my last box of LGC No3's from 2002. I bought this yrs ago & have been awaiting a suitable occasion. They proved rather exceptional examples with perfect draw (storing 62o certainly helps). Matched with coffee these are worth seeking out before they become VHTF.
When Bart arrived & after a non-BBQ'ed meal, I cracked another box, this time the, SLR ER [emoji633] 2016. Totally different ring guages but it was a tasty, well constructed stick, sure a Yr or to more will round them off even more.
Next a cigar neither of them had tried before, Boli DT's from 2001. Both were surprised who powerful the flav was firstly for such a small format & for it's age, which lead us to speculate how strong they must have been when fresh?
After a slice of lemon torte to refresh out palates I brought out 3 ESPLEN'S. Two were the old labels so pre-2003 & I took the newer 2014 stick. These came from Ade Uk's collection that Martyn & I bought many yrs ago. I had smoked two of these before one was great, one so so. Mine was a classic of this Marca & a powerful, deep rich flav. I prefer my Cohiba's with 5yrs so this was just over that.
Both of the lads reported theirs were very tasty but softer, as you'd expect after an unknow again period.
It was a splendid & very convivial evening & Bart fitted in very well, look fwd to us getting together again soon.

Wow! You had some great cigars that day! I only tried the No.3 once (courtesy of Dale) and it's a great cigar!
The LGC no3 is a lovely cigar. Only tried one and I have another single to try another time.
I found an intact 2002 box in Malaga last November... Just sitting there on the shelf. I had to bring them home (along with the 2001 #4s sitting beside them lol)...it was the kind thing to do
