I'm assuming I'm doing it all wrong by smoking CC I've just bought from a retailer and should be laying them down for years before lighting. A Quintero the other day and a RASCC today. Both plugged and tasting of bitter soap. Very unpleasant.
Now worried to light any more of the singles I bought in case they're also sick.
I think this evening will be either a NC or one of Matts Trinidads that have a few years on them.
No picture as I was too annoyed to take one.
Brutal hours at work but now I've time to smoke. Going for another Caldwell and a 2012 short churchill which ive been looking forward too since I got them.

Retailers are often running a much higher humidity than a lot of people here. Quite often if I have something fresh at a lounge it can seem harsh.
You can try dry boxing for a few days. Leave them sit in your humidor for a few months. As you say NC seem to be more often than not ready to go.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...
