Burns well. It's my first cigar I can say I taste the pepper flavours many describe with other cigars. I also notice a really grassy type flavour which I suspect is the fact the cigar hasn't been put away for 6+ months prior to smoking, it literally tastes too fresh! Not my favourite flavour cigar, but another learning experience to add to the list.
Say hello to my little friend!
I'm still a relative beginner but I can't get on with Hoyo. I find the PR and the Ep1 pretty bland. I've got a a box of each which I am now aging in the hope they will show something in a few years. Good to try lots of different stuff, it's the only way to find out what you like!

Couldn?t agree more, last one I had was light, grassy with not much substance. So other cigar boxes will now always preceded these for me.

Some light cigars do age really really nicely. Its good you have boxes, you can pack them away and forget about them. For sure try one every year to see whats happening. So you can now get on with trying new things

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Agreed! Go outside your comfort zone and see what you find. In 2-3 years time we'll know what we're doing....I hope
Very nice! Enjoy Matt! Those old banded QdO just sing with a little age!
Are any of the old coronas still around in France Mike? I was hoping to pick up some of the new band ones but I rarely see them available and don?t know how they compare.

I have a few Epi1 that are about 10 years old and they are one of my favourite cigars I own. Interesting to hear so many describe Hoyo?s as grassy, that?s a taste I would never associate with Hoyo. I?ll consciously look for that in my next smoke. The subjectivity makes cigars all the more interesting to discuss, different strokes for different folks and all that.

Fixed.

Nope they are all gone. Some boxes appeared late last year and I only bought a fiver as these are a bit expensive here in France. A few days later I made up my mind to purchase a box despite the high price, went back and they were of course sold out. One guy had bought them all. I have a box of the news but read that they changed the blend. The new ones can be found here without a problem though.

Two boxes of a cigars that didn't impress, now that's faith. I can assure you they will age well but if still not to your taste please contact me & I'll be happy to give them a happy home. I only have an open cab of each left.

I got a bit carried away last year after buying a phenomenal box of Boli PCs; convinced myself that full boxes were the only way to buy cigars from now on. To be fair I've had more good luck than bad since then. If these two don't show improvement I'll certainly be looking to move them!
