2007 El Principe. Lovely flavours albeit a little spicy.

This is an example of a very firm stick to the touch. Feels like there's no give. But draws really well.

I think it was Vitola who asked me on Friday if the Angels Share was better than the regular Opus line so I smoked this corona grande today to make a comparison whilst the memory was still fresh. In conclusion this regular Opus was spicier and more what I'd expect from a regular NC whilst the Angels Share was much smoother and milder, almost creamy. Take your pick.

Penny for your thoughts. Hearing polarised reviews of this one. Not tried one yet myself.

The first one I tried around before Xmas I was not disappointed but not really overwhelmed it was pretty ?meh? very mild with little taste or transition. (I think it hadn?t been rested long enough from taking delivery).

Now this one is completely different - whilst it is a mild smoke, the tastes are both subtle yet complex - very light chocolate - cedar - nutty - herbs/tea/ earthy- hints of cream subtle sweetness- hints of spice ( possibly cinnamon) on the tongue - the finish lingers

I paired this one with fresh orange juice goes great, whereas the last one was paired with a stout, which probably muted the cigar flavours? - the cigar is a very easy smoke to retrohale otherwise I think you may miss a lot of the flavours

The last third was ?stonkingly? good
Copious amounts of smoke produced with a really pleasant room note [emoji106]

Nice. Must give one a go soon. My curiosity is piqued. Thanks.

A recent Monte 1 albeit a decade old was lovely. Mild, smooth but flavourful and interesting. How a Monte is supposed to be.

Maybe only 6 years to go.........

For my pennyworth when I was in the DR a few years ago I smoked one of these and an Andalusian Bull on consecutive days and if i'd been blindfolded couldn't have told them apart.

Cheers John - now you?ve spurred me on to try the Andalusian Bull
