Custom roll Monsdale 2012 from @Emaresee cheers Matt [emoji106] lovely smoke

Nice.... date line suggests it may even have been a proper ‘monsdale’... and was sold to me as such but who knows. I split a bunch with tommy if he is still kicking about. He finds them ‘musky’ .... but thats a discussion for over a beer

There was a definite musky taste from the cold draw, not detected during smoking though?
Which one? The Alex custom is phenomenal being only 10 months old, wish I?d bought 100 instead of 25.
The Mantua is great so far and will be very good I think. It?s strong on nicotine which hides a lot of aromas, but today there was a great deal of leather but at the last third some earthy tones. Construction is impeccable as was the first one, with perfect draw just with the tail twisted off.
Is there any way to get Alex’s custom rolled sticks other than actually meeting him? I’ve read a few reviews saying how good they are.

Only if you or some Cuba traveler you know picks the up for you. Alternatively purchase from flipper, but Alex charges around 5 CUC a stick with 8 tops for B56s and you’ll easily pay the flippers 15-20 usd a piece.

The one I just smoked was rather young (2016) and wasn't the best that I've had so far. Some wood and earth with light chocolate and sweetness (not too sugary though). The final third was a bit spicy and had mainly woody notes. These will need more time down. But it's definitely a cigar that one should have a few singles off. And I like the Churchill vitola quite a bit. If you can find a few older ones you should go for them Alan.
