El Viejo Continente Maduro Lancero from Boutique Cigars. It has a toothy and quite thick wrapper with a neat pigtail cap. It came with a silver grey ribbon around the foot a la Fuente and a nice embossed silver band. Lighting was easy as was the draw. From this cigar I got notes of mild black coffee with no pepper. The flavour didn't change at all but it got smoother in the middle and I was able to smoke it down to the nub with no bitterness or excessive heat. Smoking time was about 50 minutes as it says on the site. It produced lots of smoke that I would describe as slightly tannic and what I suspect Mike Choi describes as 'woody.
It is definitely worth ?7.10 but it wasn't good enough to replace some of the lanceros I already have.
I would definitely smoke another one but I probably won't buy them unless I lose access to my other sources.

Astute and concise as ever- top review
"Dear heart, you're talking to a man- a real man- who drinks straight Tequilla, with lime and salt on the rim, and smokes cigars" (J Zavala)
The draw was very very tight. I cut the cigar a bit further up and spotted there were some stems in the cigar! So I managed to pull these stems and look what I pulled out of the cigar! Once these were out, the draw was fine and I could proceed to smoke the damn thing. #cubans
these should never have been rolled into the cigar in the first place.
