A JL2 this end, lights just fading out back whilst I type, which is good timing as the stick is reaching the end too. Nice smoke.

OK, a tale of two smokes.

On Tuesday I finally tried one of the pirimades from the May05 selection box I had been given. Now this is not as good as it sounds as these sticks were dried out when I got them. They have had 6 months in the humi (and out of their box) so I figured this was as good as they were going to get. I had some reservations as they had become very dry but I knew I had to try them.

Went out with a pal (who took a D4), I said to him that i really didn't know about this stick (I took the Monte) and it would either be great or rubbish...... well the only think I can say is it drew well, apart from that it was crap, tasteless and flat. I took it to half-way down in the misguided hope it might turn around but it never did and got binned. I looked on at my pal with the D4 with some envy. I went home, removed the other 4 from the humi and threw them in the bin!!!!

So in ways of making amends yesterday I fired up one of my new Magicos.... now that was a lot better. A little tight on the draw but superb, lovely white ash, creamy and complex and you can really taste that maduro wrapper. Smoked it down to a nub. A strong stick and I would compare it to an aged Boli/Partigas etc.

Not an everyday smoke but very happy with the purchase and looking forward to the next 9. Very comparable to it's big brother ...but a little smaller . I do think the Genios is a better balanced stick (but I need to give these Magicos a little more time to settle before I can be so definitive) and at the momenthave got them at nearly the same price for 10.

HdM 2 tonight. Was worried this box wasn't as good as last, but a couple of months in humi has completely changed it. Sublime.

Rounded my evening off with a nice Bolivar Petit Corona.

In all honesty after the earlier CS LE04 there was really no need for another cigar, but the evening was nice (not sure if we'ew going to get many more...!?!) so I thought I'd enjoy it with another fine puro and some good strong coffee...
