My grandfather was a Wagner specialist, I grew up with that epos but have forgotten most of it.
Well, I was quite surprised when I watched this film. It was quite modern, some scenes are of sheer beauty and can be compared to classic art. I remembered a little of the Nibelungen Lied from school but it's quite enjoyable like all those classic myhts, stories and plays. Will try to watch part 2 today which is a little shorter than part 1.
