After enjoying the Alejandro Lopez robusto last week I bought a bundle each of the natural and maduro petit robustos. I kicked off with the maduro one this morning but as you can see it does not have a very dark wrapper. In fact I had to check the labels on the bundles to make sure I had got the right one. It didn't taste much like a maduro either but it was still a very enjoyable cheap coffee time smoke. The finish was a bit rustic but it burned perfectly to the nub.

This stick with the rather cool band is a CAO Amazon Basin that came as a hitchhiker with some Opus that I bought. It's a damn good stick too.

You should go to Brasserie Moulard on Rue Saint Lazare and order a tower of beer.

Correct. Both blended by Michael Grosskopf. Though these are rolled in a different tabacalera. They have some Brazilian tobacco in them. I would recommend to try both, but the dark version is better.

I was always intrigued by these, but for some reason expected them to be rubbish. Not sure why. Can you describe the flavour a bit?

After visiting Gestos by the looks of it. So go on then, what did you buy?
