ruddy hell me first, probably due to the silly tee off time of 7:36 today. Anyway had a Bon Vita churchill from hole 6 to hole 12 and since its been in humi for a month, it had loosened up quite nicely. Ok for a budget NC round the course..

On the way home, abit breezy but no rain so mx5 roof down again and i had my first Don Pepin Garcia blue and feck me i found it strong. Maybe i'm a wimp, maybe it was the asthma kicking in or maybe i'm more of a mild to medium smoker..to be honest i enjoyed the RP vinatage 1992 more last week.
I started out with nothing and i've still got most of it left - Seasick Steve

A really well behaved nub habano, ash was a good 2 inches before breaking off. Nice draw (didnt clip the full gauge so the draw would be easier), perfect way to compliment a roast dinner. Couple weeks in the humi certainly did it well. the first NUB in the same vitola wasnt as great as this one.

Thats 3 nubs now and thats 2 outta 3 that were super, time to get a pack in the future! probably a sampler though, as Id like to try out the conneticuts and cameroons

A Trinidad Reyes on the drive home tonight. It had been sitting in my travel humi for a couple of days which I had put some distilled water on the element. The effect was quite noticeable. The first third that had absorbed extra moisture was harsh, 'steamy' and was expanding from the heat passing through it. Once I'd smoked through the over-humidified part it settled down to normality.

One thing I'm noticing with the Reyes as they are getting a few more months on them is that the liquorice aspect is disappearing and the biscuity hint is coming through more. Will be interesting to see how these develop further.

I was at a family wedding on Saturday and was away from Friday to Sunday. As such I had the pleasure of the following sticks over the weekend:

          3 Vega Fina Perlas
          2 RyJ Cedros no3
2 HdM Epicure no2 (gifted by a fellow BOTL at the wedding who brought a box!)
and of course a Partagas SD4.

All in all a very good weekend and a good few cigars too. Might give myself a break for a few days now.
