So my package of NCs landed from Mike today, so I thought what the heck and of course reached for a Gurkha! A Heritage that?s a beefy toro sized smoke...

Well its early days yet, I?m only an inch or so in, but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised! Strong rich coffee flavour, cedar sweetness, with a spicy retro hale. So far I am enjoy this cigar, and I hope it continues in this vein! We shall see ...

First up cotm which was lovely...bit tight on the draw...but was still fine to smoke.

Then a Mag 46 04 from a 50 cab

And a big stem in this one...first one from the cab which wasn't perfect..

Don't have the time these days to mix much, nor the dedication to maintaining a spirits collection (plus my budget has shifted towards Cubans!). I still enjoy the odd Negroni, sour or Perfect Manhattan. Bookwise, If you haven't got it already then Larousse Cocktails is well worth having on your shelf.
