Doing a little comparison here. LFDC Casanova compared to the North Star - the latter is the better.
Never had a LFDC before, it?s 2 years older now than the RG, but not as balanced as the RG. Still contemplating if I should hit a box more of these.

They were hard to get for a while- they seem to be more freely available now. There was a GB RE short Robusto a handful of years ago and it was a real gem.... not had one of these yet, have a box tucked away

All Italian RE’s seem crazy. Had a friend in northern Italy phone around to 10 random tabaccherias today, only one box of Casanova’s - so they’re running out slowly.
Yeah that GB short Robusto - was... same size?

Honestly can?t remember..... I seem to think it was bigger than a petit Robusto but maybe was a Robusto...

I had this unknown cigar banging around one of my humidors and it was badly gnarled. This was a mystery shaggy footed NC custom roll, and it?s a beast - thick and long; to be honest I was fearing a pepper bomb. But so far so light - cream, salt, and milky coffee. Very enjoyable at the moment!
Just had a 2013 RG Perla courtesy of Wigan. First one I’ve had in years, really good little smoke. It started with strong mushroom flavours and a bit of pepper on the retro which took me by surprise but it quickly turned to sweet milk chocolate and cream.
A '17 Fonseca No1. this evening with a cup of tea and a Jameson's. This is the first of 3 Fonseca's that I hope to smoke over the next couple of evenings.
