Frankly, the VR was underfilled so it smoked quite hot, losing a lot of flavour! Woody with hints of cream. Last nights Punch Punch was much better!

Oooo new additions, that’s exciting

That’s a shame about the VR, especially considering I just bought some! Hopefully mine are better constructed.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a Punch Punch, I can’t remeber if I’ve bought a box in the past 12 months or not but I definitely have a fiver of 2012’s and a few singles from recent production. When it thawed out a bit I might give one a go.

Both MLW and I worked overtime today so when she suggested I go out to my cabin whilst she popped into her mum's after work who was I to argue! Enjoyed this 2001 Vegueros Especiales #2 whilst the wind and rain howled outside.

A Quai D?orsay No 50 tonight....really not nice....poor cap construction, really bitter and burned far too hot. I ended up cutting the cap right off as it accumulated too much tar...I hope it is just a dud and not representative of the marque

Its the first negative comment about these that I can recall.

I?ve had them before and I think it was just this one. The cap looked like it had been previously punched and re covered. There was a massive tar build up in the cap - not nice

When I have that ..I recut it and generally improves the smoke.
