I fancied something Fuente today and dug out my one and only Reserva Extra Anejo 888, it was worth it for an hour and a half

Nice. I have a couple of the 888 rosados but im saving for a warm location or next summer.
Since you smoke more fuente than the rest of us it would be interesting to hear your opinions on how aging affects them. Do you think they improve at all?

It depends what you mean by improve. They do for me because I think they become smoother and more rounded. I've just got a couple of Opus double coronas from the nineties so I'm looking forward to trying one of those next spring.
Wasn?t able to join the guys at Hurtmore because of kiddy duties but once reinforcements arrived I snuck out to the pub.
I took two sticks I?d never tried before:
Siglo II - nice but for me, nothing to rave about. I much prefer the Siglo VI (who doesnt...)
Then I lit up a Magnum 50 - wow. Only ever tried a H.Upmann once previously on COTM. What a lovely smoke the Magnum 50 was, I?m definitely going to have to get a box at some point! Right up my street as they say!

I like the II with a bit of age. I have some from 2012 that are smoking brilliantly. Must get round to trying the Mag 50. Looks like time well spent anyway!

Personally I agree the Siglo II isn't worth the extra cost of being labelled Cohiba. If you want something similar to fill that gap in your humi, I'd suggest the Trini Reyes or Cohiba Exquisitos.
