Apologies if this sounds a little evangelical but this cigar was absolutely astonishing.
There is a lot of hot smoke blown about aged cigars. Age doesn?t make a bad smoke good, but good cigars age well and this was no exception.
It was my first Fonseca, and I assure you it won?t be my last! This beauty from ?99 was a genuine treat. A really rich soft sweetness to open, which stayed throughout. I enjoyed it with a coffee and some ice cold sparkling water to refresh my palate. As I consumed it, it opened up to gentle caramels, hints of fresh brewed coffee and the sweetness of cut grass. I have sore fingers from nubbing it, and I don?t care a jot!!
If anything I am understating how enjoyable this stick was in order to not sound like a nut job!!
I was lucky enough to be gifted this as a wee bonus in the recent summer/ winter cigar pass by moteyi .
I though my Dip 2 of the other day was likely to be my smoke of the summer, but this chap has pipped it at the post.
I am on holiday, I sat back, watched my son run around busily in the garden here as he got ready for some pool time fun, took in the scenery and pondered. This is what cigars are for; taking stock, taking time, and appreciating your immediate surrounds.
Have a fabulous day all- I hope the sticks you enjoy today give you as much pleasure as this one. And a big thank you to moteyi [emoji119][emoji106][emoji106][emoji119]
