Trying one of these 'Nicks Sticks' that was gifted to me. Started out awful, ashy taste and tight draw. Gave it a chance and in the second 3rd turned earthy with hints of cocoa, which became more prominent as it went.
Not something I'd buy but not terrible either.
May 46 (2016) - this is an ugly looking stick with water marks, and white spots. But true to the adage that you should never judge a smoke by it?s wrapper, it?s turning out to be a really great smoke!
Had a very busy and extremely stressful week. I finally have some time to enjoy a cigar today and thought why not smoke something good. Des Dieux with a few years on it.

Well said Greg. I've had quite a few ugly sticks that turned out to be great!
ERDM Choix Supreme for me this evening. First one I?ve ever tried and very tasty indeed. Thanks for Wigan for making it available!
Well tried the Trinidad Vigia tonight.....rested for a few months and oh so much better for it......a beautiful cigar, worth investing in a box I think......
Update......I thought I should mention, the draw was ok, but slightly tight/plugged on first lighting, so turned to use my PerfecDraw tool......voila! it managed to retrieve a 7 cm thickened leaf vein which was running down the centre of the cigar

I think its down to the lack of expectations, when you have a gorgeous looking wrapper, you cannot help but feel cheated when it is not a lovely smoke!
