Late shift today so I decided to try one of the sampler that Johnny Thunder brought me back from New Orleans. I have already discussed this with him so he knows I'm not being ungrateful but it was nothing special. It moved between bland and mildly peppery then got bitter in the final third. I have smoked quite a few different cigars actually produced in the USA now and this seems to be the trend.

So the general consensus on USA cigars is to give them a wide birth?

I have the same selection that I sent to John so I will leave them until next summer to see if this helps
improve them in any way. I won't be holding my breath though.

So far just the stuff produced by small local producers. I bought some robustos from groundhog that are good though.

So I imagine this is a little uncouth, but I?ll be smoking one of these later. Any thoughts?

Hermoso
Belicoso
Toro
Sublime

Small to large.

Hirochi Robaina Sublime. Lots of smoke, chocolate and spice at this stage. Very tasty but the burn like could be better.
