Finally got round to smoking my CR Vigia

This is definitely in the sick period for me...the first 3rd isn't nice at all...alot of ammonia for me..this is the one i didn't freeze the second 3nd third the amonia seems to die down

Very well made the draw is fantastic and the amount of smoke is like a chimney..

Trinidad Reyes (2016) - this box has finally turned the corner, the first half was lashings of milk chocolate and vanilla, the second half espresso and wood. Construction was perfect in this one, evidenced by the fact I could smoke it by removing the pigtail.

It?s amazing how much this smoke has changed since I had my last one 5 months ago, and just shows what age can do to a blend.

might be a taste thing...a few others who've smoked them have enjoyed them and didn't mention strong taste of ammonia.

I did, but the one I tried was not frozen.

I have a jar of Noellas that are unsmokable last time I tried, due to the ammonia. So I would spot it if it was there.

Might be that the one I tried was a one off. Or maybe smoking them in the bitter cold made the ammonia less detectable? I was really surprised not to taste it actually.

I sampled a fresh Vigia, pure ammonia, ditched it and tucked the rest of the CR's away for a deep sleep.
