Tonight I smoked a H. Upmann Robusto Anejados, and it was an utter JOY - First few puffs were salty almonds, but then it settled into wood, cream, and what i can only term as demerara sugar. By the half way mark the sugar turned into a deeper, fruitier treacle, and the wood became heavier and more spicy tones came to the fore.
I decided to light up the Feb COTM. Punched it at first but decided to cut the end off as wasn't getting much from it. Flavourwise it didn't really come alive until the half...it's very well constructed, great draw, range of flavours from mellow to strong. Some aniseed as well as woody, grassy notes. Maybe an ERDM Choix Supreme with max 2 years on it? I'd definitely smoke this again thedame007 cheers for hosting.
