Smoked another Montecristo No.4 tonight (2010), these are just flavour bombs - lashing of rich chocolate and cream, i cannot get enough of these right now

Having a cain 550 habano. Unfortunately the image uploader is being tempramental so no photo. Awaiting a box of these in the post as ive been really impressed with the few ive had.

I was gifted one of these by my friend,can?t wait to try in but will leave it to rest for a while before I light it up,[emoji106]

The one your friend has given you, do you know the date it was produced? If the writing is gold on the band it will be post 2012. In which case, when you get PM's (3 month's activity.100+ post, and Deano's discretion) drop me a message and i will send you one of my 2010 one's; just so you can compare taste notes, demonstrate what a bit of age can do, and help you work out if you prefer them younger or a bit older.

The one your friend has given you, do you know the date it was produced? If the writing is gold on the band it will be post 2012. In which case, when you get PM's (3 month's activity.100+ post, and Deano's discretion) drop me a message and i will send you one of my 2010 one's; just so you can compare taste notes, demonstrate what a bit of age can do, and help you work out if you prefer them younger or a bit older.

I have just checked and the writing it?s self isn?t gold but there is gold on the band,not my luck to be an aged smoke,but like you say it will be a good experience to compare the younger to an aged stick,to see what I prefer.

Haha - that is indeed a No.2 and not a No.4! A very generous gift from your friend, and the label is the new style label so that means it was produced post 2012. A classic smoke, and it looks like a beautiful stick which will no doubt give you 1-2 hours of pleasure!

However, that said, still drop me a message when you get your PMs and i'll send you one of the No.4's - for all it is not the same smoke, you can still see how age starts to develop the monte notes.
