I've had this La Aurora Ruby sitting in my humidor for about four years but have been wary of smoking it because I'd heard they were very strong. Either that's not right, its mellowed with age or I'm getting more accustomed to the nicotine at last. Either way it was a pleasant smoke that I nubbed with just a hint of pepper. You used to be able to buy these in 1a for about ?29, not sure its worth that much though. And yes i knocked the bloody ash off!

Settled down to a nice smooth smoke. First few moments were very different.



Nov 15 Siglo 1 for dessert. Reinforces the CC for me. Much nicer and richer flavor.

So, it is my 30th on Sunday, and since I have no idea what my friends have planned for me for the next four days i thought i better crack open one of my Birthday smokes this evening before the shenanigans begin! Though i do hope to squeeze a couple more top smokes in as well...

Anyway, it was a Trinidad Topes (LE 2016) tonight - God, this really is a sublime way to spend a couple of hours; delicious!
