HdM 2 for me. Didn't fancy any yesterday or this eve, but lit up and it's a beauty.

It's funny - it's one of the more recent ones I got straight from cuba by a mate, darker wrap, newer box date, and smokes like it's been in there a year or so.

One Partagas Serie D (new in today). It has been a long time since I had a Partagas cigar. Delicious.

Next up was a Romeo y Julieta Viejo (the US version of R&J). It was so "box pressed" that it was hard and even a poking couldn't help it. When i did get a light on it I found the taste quite foul. All I can say is the R&J (USA) is a trillion miles away from R&J Cuba. A Villager tastes better.

I'll have a Cuban Crafters Campana later to make up for it.

I'm feeling stressed out, so gonna take it easy and go for a Monte A infront of the TV.

Sorry to hear about your NC RyJ experience Big Al.

I had one when I was out in Colorado and Wyoming last year. I found it to be very enjoyable (though it wasn't box pressed - a tubo).

If I remember correctly, I found it to be quite flavoursome with a good burn, especially given the extremely low humidity at the elevation I was at. Of course, I may be thinking favourably of this cigar as I was watching a very 'entertaining' university women's rugby match - and female university rugby players in the States are smoking () hot!

OHMYGOD!!! Such language from the forum founder and owner, senor serious!

What kind of example are you setting for the young newbies?

And WTF does "fecking" mean anyway? You talk funny!

I capped today with a big fat Monty Edmundo, followed by a bowl of "Hobbit's Weed" which I picked up in Denver. A nice mild mix with a pleasant aroma, but it reminds of me why I switched to fine Habano puros many, many years ago.

DAMN THING JUST WENT OUT AGAIN!!!

Just finished off an OpusX. Not a bad stick. Think I prefer the anejos from Fuente. Being a Nicaraguan tobacco fan I seem to just like Tats more, but the Fuente has some very unique flavors and character.

Had a few different cigars over the last couple days. First was a Don pepin garcia blue label which was a full strength cigar and nice too. Second up was a Padilla Signature 1948, not as strong as the Don pepin but the first third was almost a floral/perfumed smoke and very interesting. The last smoke was last night which was a Nestor miranda lancero, dont normally smoke this size but I thoroughly enjoyed it while chilling with a rum and coke.

A Cohiba Siglo IV - came in a box of 5 from a mates visit to the factory in 2006. Had a shock when I nearly twisted the cap off while punching it, but managed to avoid ruining it ...just. Draw was medium and burn was faultless. Beautiful, creamy, complex, plenty of smoke, got a little hot on the last two inches. About 10 mins in I pondered to myself perhaps I should only smoke Cohibas......

I was hoping for a good smoke from it Simon. It certainly looked ok despite the square "Villager" shape. I'll try another one at some stage - I'll give the other 4 I have several weeks (at least) Humidor time to soften them up a bit.

                          Cat's out of the bag

Bloody hell, Big Al, now you've gone and done it.

Blokes will be saying "WTF is a Cuban Crafters Campana," doing some Googling, and becoming intrigued by this funny-looking and ridiculously inexpensive stogie. Then they'll be ordering a box and trying them and finding out what a superb smoke (especially for the price) it is and demand will go up, so Don Kiki will raise the price and run out of stock and I'll have to pay more and wait longer for one of my favorite fun smokes.

                          Bugger all...

Smoked a cracker of an HdM Epi#1 last night whilst barbqing, flavours of dried fruit and a little hint of grass in the second half, good stuff.
