Just had the NUB Habanos today which I was planning on having last night. First NUB I've had and I agree with what others have said on the NUB reviews. Good cigar but the concept is a sales gimmick. Some burn issues but I enjoyed it.

              Had my first JL2 today.
I think they are definatley for the advanced smoker, unfortunatley I'm not quite there yet but I still got a alot out of it. I would certainly get some more of these once I've clocked up a few more "Smoke Miles" for me to fully appreciated it.
Still it was very nice and I smoked it right up to the nub.

Sancho Panza is a friend of TJ's

                You won't believe what I found in TJ's humidor - a N/C!!!

So I decided to help myself and give 'er a go. It was a Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte Madrid Toro. What a beautiful and distintive cigar. A very unique flavor that was quite pleasing. But since I'm no better than TJ at describe puros, below is how it is described at Famous Smoke -

"This Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte Madrid is just one of the hearty selections found in this exciting new, robust blend. All Honduran tobaccos and an extra-rich sun-grown Habana wrapper make this cigar a smooth, full-flavored treat. Like the regular Sanchos? You'll love Extra Fuerte. Order a box now."

I enjoyed this fine stogie while skyping with TJ's 'ol smokin' buddy senor Cohiba IV, who was smoknin' himself a Monty Edmondo. A perfect way to start a Saturday evening.

I will be ordering a box straight away to replace the one I borrowed from TJ.

Hello, My name is BJ, BJCoro, and I'm smokin' TJ's stock while he's off on a vision quest.

Well in the course of today I've enjoyed three with the chaps. Started with a HdM Epi 2, onto a VR Famoso then sparked up a JL2 after some food. All in all a very satisfying day!

At the Cardiff Herf I too enjoyed an assortment. All washed down the the brilliant Welsh brew, Brains:

I started with a non-Cuban gifted to me by HabanoSy, a very pleasant Leon Jimenes No4. Probably the best stogie of the day. It was a bastard to get lit, but once going it tasted good and burnt/drew very well.

I followed it up a little while later with a Punch Petit Punch bought at the Cardiff cigar store - thought I'd give one a shot whilst I still can... Very smokeable, definitely something I'd try again. It actually had a decent draw, though it didn't offer as much as I was expecting.

Finally, the biggest disappointment of the day... The HdM Epi No2, which I found to be quite uninteresting, almost flat. But worse still, the burn was absolutely awful... Everything I tried didn't work - slowing down, speeding up, rotating, using a lighter again...

Bugger about the burn there Simon.

Today I started off early with a

La Vieja Belicoso Maduro (not my cup of tea, I feel)

                          Moved on midday to the

Fuente Fuente Opus X (an ok stick which saved it's own grace midway through the second third)

and at a garden get together in the evening, a

Ramone Allones Small Club Corona (doing all the right things)
