I decided to try a fresh new D5 from the February 2017 box I bought recently and what a difference to the tubos I smoked with a few years on them. Straight away I noticed how soft they were and I wondered just how well they would burn. Very well actually but the draw was like a wind tunnel and it produced smoke like an Autumn bonfire. There was none of the warm nutty caramel flavours I had previously experienced, this was harsh like a Quinteros Favorito and I ended up ditching the final third. This box is off to sleep for at least three years and I shall look for some older ones when I go on holiday later in the year.
