I fancy something with a bit of bite this afternoon so a Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 should do the trick.... this is the first time I've tried the 60 ring gauge though.
So here is #2 in the La Palina Numbers series. This is a slightly box pressed Churchill with a Sumatran wrapper with a beautiful leaf pattern. When I took it out of the cello it smelled of ammonia which would normally mean I'd put it back but then it would be ages before I got to smoke #3. The construction was perfect but the draw was very light. It burned faultlessly and produced lots of smoke. The overall flavour was spicier than I like and tasted mineral like a lot of the Diesel series. Number 1 was better in my opinion.

Ammonia you say? A bit queer since NCs usually don't make it to maket during the "sick period." Could it have been something else....
