Yeh I have to agree Barney...

      Diplomaticos No2

Another Diplomaticos No2 for me, love the taste. Its a much looser draw that the same sized P2's that ive had recently; but with 22 more to go, im sure ill get used to them SAB

Yeh I really enjoy my cigars punched rather than cut, I find it really does concentrate the smoke onto your tongue which allows you to really taste all the flavours of the cigar.

I have also been trying the 'V' cut recently to and IMO this is also a great way to smoke a cigar, like the punch it concentrates the smoke onto your tongue, but unlike the punch cut it also allows the cigar to open up a little more and really gets the juices flowing... YUM!!!

        Cheers, HabanoSy
yeah thats exactly what i've found. heard of the V cutter before but having trouble tracking a decent one down, will have to try one out.

            I've got a few...

My Colibri lighter has a flip down punch which I sometimes use when the bloody things working (the lighter not the punch), a Dalvey punch and a Dunhill punch...

            What you thinking Dave...!?!

              Hi Lascaux

Sorry don't know how to link to other sites...!?!

Go to ebay and put this number (370229272697) in the search and this should bring up a 'V' cutter. This is the one I've been using and like I said before it's been brilliant.

See what you think, it's not much at all so maybe give it a go...!?!

              Cheers, HabanoSy

It mainly seems to be the Xikar ones that are available. A few people who use punches have commented on how you need to buy a decent one, and I thought it made sense to see what brand those who actually use them use. IIRC, nobody yet has said Xikar...

                  I hope that resembled English.

Bit late posting but it was a late night...

I have at last found a reason to try one of the forums fave Cigars The wonderful Hoya de Monteray Epicure No2 and it is as good if not better in real life than all you guys said.

It was smooth smooth from the first to the last and not too strong for me although it delivered a little kick at the end that sent me reeling but that's my fault for skimping on dinner and missing the cheese course to get into this baby.

I have always wondered at you guys who smoke so many cigars in one day but this is the first cigar which I got three quarters of the way through and thought... hm, I have another two in my bag... I wonder.

The excellence of the cigar was matched only by the view from my smoking spot this evening.

I will figure how to post big images later (in another thread ) but for now I am in a rush soo tiny ones will have to do.

I got a very pleasant surprise too, I noticed it rounded out too as the Cigar progressed.
Definitely an addition as soon as funds and space is available
