After a few people dissed these the other day I decided to revisit the Juan Lopez Chiado and I thought it was a great little smoke packed with flavour. I do like JLs especially. Feel free to send me any unwanted ones!
COTM for me this afternoon. Almost definitely not Cuban, light coloured vainy wrapper, quite light in flavour and a light draw, not the sort of cigar I usually favour but overall not a bad smoke.
Off to France for the second course with the new Quai D'Orsay Secreto Cubano thanks to gojira. This started off smooth and light as I would expect from this marque but it got a bit rough in the second half so the rest of the box is off to sleep for a year.
COTM here too. Didn't like it to start but it grew on me. Toothy wrapper, 1 cap, consistent burn with 1 touch up in the 1st 1/3. Flavour started mild & built to medium with a good dose of nicotine.

That's good to know PeeJay. I will let my boxes sleep a little then. I have some boxes that I will bring as gifts for the boys in Germany next week and might smoke one with them though.
Yes, I believe that's the username of who sold these, but it was some years ago and I don't recall exactly who it was. Supposedly it's a second grade BHK54, but flavourwise it doesn't look like it, IMO.
