My only 2nd ever piramides monte 2 14

Not convinced about this cigar yet.. been ok...But nothing great...If compare it to the P2 I had earlier in the month which a loved it's just an ordinary smoke...Hope it picks up.

Monte's benefit from lots of age but it's been a while since they wow'ed me too. Party No2 is better these days.

True Simon, but an aged bland cigar is still a bland cigar!

This is the robusto from the Madeira Beach sampler, a far superior cigar to the corona I smoked yesterday. It tasted Cuban though obviously it isn't.

14 should be in the zone, are you dry boxing them before smoking?

Yes, you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear, if it's bland now it will be mellow & & bland in 10yrs time. But vintage Monte's say Pre2001 are a different kettle of fish so don't write them all off. Using the old balck tobacco they were the leading vitola of the day (certainly before the flashy Esplen came along).
