Ok so this should be taken with a pinch of salt as they have only been in my humi 3 days and im out smoking in a fairly windy mitcham park during a break from surveying.

First impressions are that the moose has used the wrapper to roll a blunt. Never had a cigar give me red eye of the jedi before! The moose just looks very chilled i guess.

The cello on these are yellow. They must have been sitting in a warehouse for a long old time. Ive never had an cigar delivered like that except when explicitly ordering an aged stick.

To the flavour! It is medium bodied and quite peppery. If you dont like the typical nc profile this isnt gonna be for you. A novice could tell you this isnt anything like a cuban.

Having said that... you can tell this has been made from good scrap. Its mixed fill but not harsh at all. I get a zesty bitter orange, but not harsh bitter. Then it has a slight sweetness on the retro like meringue. As the stick goes on the pepper disappears and it gets milder allowing the sweetness to come through a little more.

Last third and it has really mellowed. Getting better with every puff.

I wiuld still prefer the spanish galleon which is my go to 2? stick, but this is really quite decent for the price and i dont regret getting a box. At some point i will try the chillin moose too.. which is a maduro.

Awesome! If only I could get a hold of one, MLW (Mrs. Pondering Moose) looked over my shoulder and went "oooh!"

Thanks also for the grand review.

Tea break - a Carlos Torano TPC (I think they call them a Carlin). They're cheap, cheerful, well made, and punch well above their weight.

Another cigar from monkey66 today, this is a custom rolled short also from 2011, much more flavour than yesterday's robusto and stronger nicotine too.

Had one of these a long time ago i think. Do they have a red label? Remember them being harsh at the time but it was a long time ago. Have a lot of time for the toranos though. The exodus range is great.

Great review, loving the idea of zesty orange too - this actually makes me want to try one. Unlike the label, which makes me want to run and hide under the bed !! (Seriously though, that label is awful!)
Only the impossible is worth the effort.

                          Yes to the red label.

I've had one harsh one, which is to be expected with any brand, now and again I figure. On the whole, much more good than bad.
