After a beautiful lamb roast I decided to smoke a gift from Cuba.
You know the story. A mate says he is going to bring you a nice Cuban back for you to smoke.
You just pray it is not purchased off the local beach bodyguard.
It was worse.
Only joking. To be fair, it was OK until the last three inches so it got binned.
09 Cohiba Secretos this afternoon, lovely smoke full of typical Cohiba grassiness but also with sweet bean flavours, cocoa and coffee. Construction was excellent, I lit it slightly one sided but it self corrected very quickly without needing to be touched up. It did however seem to burn much quicker than last nights monte 5 which was surprising.
Tried a nat sherman 1930 timeless divino... a complete struggle start to... well I stubbed it out. It was hard to light and keep lit requiring multiple relights. Start was nice enough but then went sour, far too peppery I got to about a third then cut my losses after it died once more.
Smoked an old favourite today, a Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real lancero. I've had a few of these but this sneaky bugger nearly caught me with the nicotine.
