My one day off in ten so I decided to give the RyJ Capuleto a go. It started out with a taste like faintly salted caramel but sadly that didn't last. Almost immediately it burned down one side and needed correcting. The flavour was quite mild and smooth and if blind tasting I wouldn't have been able to differentiate between this and the RyJ Romeo de luxe except they burned better. This required several relights and kept trying to tunnel. Eventually I gave up around half way because I didn't want to make myself nic sick with the constant relighting.

That's a shame I have a box waiting for the weather to warm up before I try one

Out taking a mind-break today in the dank weather I had a Villiger Premium №7. I was totally surprised, there wasn't much flavour progression, but it started tasty and stayed so to the nub. A cheap and cheerful walking cigar. Alas no photo as I'd have had to take my gloves off and bugger that in the cold.

This weeks midweek smoke: Rocky Patel Sun Grown Petit Corona...

This was part of a sample starter kit i got a few months ago. Which is very odd, for if this was teh first cigar i sampled i would have set fire to everything else i bought; the stubborn, vile little brat that it was.

First 1/3 had very little flavour besides from a very strange lingering taste that cannot be described outside of crispy bacon wheat crunches sprinkled over an Indian.

The 2/3 started to get a bit of sweet wood/leather, but then all of a sudden it decided to become very bitter, and very unpleasant - like i had insulted it's long deceased grandmother.

The 3/3? God knows; ask the ashtray!

The only positive i have got from this experience is to make more room in my humidor now this miscreant had politely pissed off!
Only the impossible is worth the effort.
