Only my second cigar! Went with H.Upmann Junior.
I really enjoyed this although the draw seemed pretty tight (don't know the correct terminology). I had to pull very hard and I just couldn't get a large amount of smoke out. I will try another and hopefully it may be a better draw, unless they are all like this.

Tried it with a beer but for the last third I poured myself a small single malt and that was so good with the cigar. Now I can't wait to enjoy another with a whisky or two!

Tight is the appropriate word, did you take off enough of the cap? If you do and you encounter another tight one try gently massaging the cigar to loosen up the filler and/or very carefully push something like a pin or skewer into the cigar from the cap end taking care not to pierce the wrapper.

First smoke in over 4 weeks for me. A Vegueros, thwarted 2/3 in by the icey rain down here on the Hampshire coast.

Cheap and with a tendency to not be cheerful, but this Chinchalero torpeditos was actually pretty good. It even developed a slightly sweet overtone about half way, and behaved itself well. It did get a little bitter, but that was just crud building in the torpedo end, so I clipped it again, with good results.

After a nice steak, a Quintero Favoritas and a drop of Martell cognac while watching the Madrid derby.

Also a good combo! I definitely like the favoritas, but I'm still not sure why; they seem "different" in a way I'm not sure how to define.

I also like steak and Martell, in ways that are more easy to define LOL

They're not the most subtle of smokes and not to everyone's taste; strong, spicy, robust, full bodied and affordable. That's why I like them.
