Mmm, got some of those sitting nicely in the humi, BBHD. You got me tempted, but I'll wait. Sound nice

I can certainly understand the RASCCs cj; my JL2s still need more rest I think though as I've not noticed anything (at all!) yet.

Took 2 HdM EE for me and the father-in-law to smoke last night after dinner.

My FIL has been smoking occasionally for many decades but never got the obsession (as far as I am aware).

A little history - My first EE was from JJ Fox's about 5 months ago. Left it in the humi for 2 months or so and lit it up on a summers day at a local festival with the missus. Had some curried goat, jerk chicken and a cold beer in the sunshine and it was a great stick!

Ordered a box of 10 from Puro and they have been in the humi about 3 weeks now.

We both lit up last night (whilst emptying a nice burgandy) and after a few mins i asked my FIL what he thought, he said it was perfectly good but 'no Cohiba'. He also commented that it was a bit big and would probably not finish it all. Now I smoked mine all the way (it was my first of the week!) and I have to concur that it was quite bland.

Do you guys think this is an ageing problem and they will come up given enough time?

NB the last 2 smokes we have had together were Cohiba Robustos and Genios's.

I am a great fan of Hoyo and I purchased the EE as soon as they were released.
I have to agree with you Monkey66 that I did not enjoy them anywhere as much as the Epicure No2, which is a favourite.
Being honest I think the EE that I smoked needed a good 18 months in the humidor to let them settle and then I think they would be an excellent smoke.
I have been thinking about purchasing another box and letting them rest for a year at least. The potential is certainly there though.

Just bought a box myself so will keep them in the humi for a year (I'll try at least).

Eat more goat curry, rice n pea and jerk chicken with the next one Monkey: nice taste in food there. Goat curry is a favourite of mine. Not the answer you're looking for, but had to get it in.

Give the sticks a bit more rest and make a comparison later. Thing is, resting 'em up will be the hard part

Yes, just 'tobacco' at the moment. Very bland and boring.
