Sad day today with the news of Nic's death but the Facebook announcement asked us all to smoke something good in his honour, hope this qualifies
Hi PeeJay,
I don't use FB. Any chance you can do a screenshot and post here?
I plan to honor Nic with a 2009 Trinidad Reyes. According to don TJ's journal, he introduced Nic to this fine cigar during the 2009 London Cigar Walk. Other accounts attribute his introduction to the Reyes to Edward Sahakian of Davidoff. Eitherway, on behalf of don TJ and the Coros, I plan to celebrate and honor Nic's life today with a 2009 Trinidad Reyes.

Very sad to pass onto my friends the news I just heard, that Nic Wing has passed on. He had been battling cancer for the last 5 months. I last saw Nic mid May, and he warned me that his appearance had changed. It was a lovely afternoon in my parents back yard, and Nic for sure, had lost some hair due to Chemo and drugs. But he was still in fine form.We smoked some lovely Custom Rolled Behikes. Nic wanted to keep it quiet about his problem, and was very determined to beat it. Strangely enough, I only mentioned Nic's problems to one other person, and that was last week having had problems trying to get in touch with him of late.Nic Wing had done such an awesome job with UK Cigarscene online magazine, the Londoncigarwalk app, and all the terrific UK Cigarscene Youtube interviews. This and much else will ALWAYS be remembered. I am rather lost for words, but I will dig out a fine Havana today, and smoke it at Francos later.
If you have a moment, please dig out your finest and smoke one in memory of a great Brother Of The Leaf BOTL Thanks Nic Wing
I still have a couple of the Custom Rolled Behike's that Nic gifted to me from his last trip to Cuba..
No more a fitting cigar to smoke in his honour, albeit will have to wait until I am back home on Wednesday...
I've never met or spoken to him but all i have heard is great things about. When i get a chance i'll defiantly light one up in his name!!!
Much like Shamz, I am aware of him by reputation only, and quite a rep it was.
I shall also, when I can properly devote time to smoke a good one for him, do so. I shall not rush it, as a sit and a contemplate is in order.
At least, it sounds like he will have gone to the biggest walk in humidor of them all, the one where all the behikes definitely are. Requiet in Terra pax.
