Cheers CJ & Horsebox, yes Pondering Moose, I'd chose the garden too. The wife gave me the book as a W.A. present, I have read it before but now I have a copy onboard as well. I am not a fan of el Che, the more you read about him once he took up arms, the less there is to empathise with. I am sure if he hadn't been executed in Bolivia & had returned to Cuba, he & Castro would have fallen out at some stage & it wouldn't have ended well for either. Now he's the martya & it's his image that's plastered all over Cuba & not Fidel's, as it's easy & safer to have a dead hero to worship. Tourists & students who wear clothing with Che think seem to think was more like Wolfey of Citizen Smith than a cold blooded killer, executing political prisoners without trial - long after the fighting was finished.

hope you enjoyed it. I've had a couple from that box and they've been cracking."Dear heart, you're talking to a man- a real man- who drinks straight Tequilla, with lime and salt on the rim, and smokes cigars" (J Zavala)

I suppose it is like seeing people with satchels with the Maoist Shining Path logo on it, without them remotely knowing what this really means.
Sorry, OT, tangentially cigar related, but as we know he did like Monte #4 I think.

The Chat Haut Brion is a Perla size 4" x 40 & relatively rare these days & on the expensive side; as a guideline I bought 3 different Davidoff's at Easter for E290. If I had known someone would have been generous enough to send me a couple, I wouldn't have made the purchase but now I have some to smoke on our next visit to Cuba.
Some say all the flav has faded away on these cigars & they are way overpriced & just collected by millionaires & traded box for box. Well I am glad to say there were still plenty of soft flav's in this particular stick & as I had it with just a coffee I didn't lose them like I could have if I had smoked it at home with a whiskey. It was an interesting experience & certainly made my day. Hope you like the pics.
