You nailed it there Mr Moose, an average cigar at the right time can beat a great cigar at the wrong time, every time.

I only took one photo at the herf which was my first smoke. This however was followed by a Las Vegas de Rios Exquisito, a Monty 5 courtesy of cigarmo and a Mag 50 to finish off the night.

Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?

Interesting theory, PeeJay? But how the heck do you know the "right time?" I would think anytime you light up a great cigar is the "right" time. Am I missing something here?

Had a busy day of cigars yesterday...

While gardening I had and El Principe which had a tight draw but the flavours were nice

And in evening enjoyed a Upmann Mag 46 - 04 which was fantastic....really nice smooth and nutty nubbed it all the way down

Paired with some Captain Morgan spice rum

followed by Cohiba Supremo's size cigar which was really nice cheers PeeJay

          Nubbed this one too

If a may chime back in. I think "the right time" is a deeply personal thing. For some I reckon the cigar maketh the moment indeed, and I've smoked a few that might edge into that group. But for me, more often, good view, good company, good humour - all these things can take (like in this case a ?4 so-so stick) the experience into a different league. Where I'm not sure if it was a Cohiba costing many times more could "offset" the other factors.

That said, there may be times, oh those glorious times, when it *all* comes together, and right time/right place combines with a really great stick. I think I'd defy any fellow BOTL and SOTL not to be at least hoping for one of those smokes.

Hehe, I could wax lyrical on this for ages. Possibly over a good whisky and a good cigar!
