Its easy to forget that other countries other than Cuba and Central America make cigars, the best cigar I ever smoked came from Indonesia and this little maduro torpedo comes from the Philippines. I will admit that these torpedoes can suffer from construction issues; sometimes the burn is bloody awful, and the wrappers are coarse as fuck but when they're on point they're very tasty and this one burned perfectly to the nub. I have a habit of smoking these when I'm doing something else and today it was painting the shed.
I've also found myself partial to Philippine smokes. Both I and the good woman like what Independencia 1898 produce. Their tres petit corona is a reliable shortish smoke, and I've one of their robustos in the humidor waiting for it's day of days.
Arty filter aside, it's a La Invicta Honduran Maduro. Not the most complex thing in the world, but being at the right time and the right place, on a gorgeous evening, heightened the experience.
