I bought a box of these Juan Lopez Chiados last year and everyone who tried them said they weren't quite ready yet. Patience has paid off and they're ready now. I chose this today because of its size really but it was a good choice, definite coffee and nut notes throughout. Burn was a little wonky but good to go if you've got them.

Well, now you ask, it's a Green Gecko IPA which Is good. IPA can be a funny one with cigars sometimes as the flavours can collide (if that's the right term) but today I had that 'what the fuck' attitude and went for it.

The power of suggestion has got me smoking a 1998 SLR Lonsdale. Great wrapper & box pressed. The band looks like it's been daubed with gold paint & abandoned by symmetry.

[MENTION=13434515]Krist[/MENTION] came over this afternoon to pick up some furniture for his new house and [MENTION=13383428]sheppsea[/MENTION] joined us with his lovely wife Yeva and daughter Goiya so it was the perfect opportunity to smoke a Culebra. I was distinctly underwhelmed, usual leathery slightly mineral flavour and needed constant relighting.

I think I'll smoke one today I found in a partial box maintained in don TJ's humidor. It's nine years old (couldn't find a fresher one), so I have no idea how it will go.
