After the disappointing Cubans I've had of late I went for a proper NC Maduro. Good unplugged draw with a hint of liquorice to it. That continued throughout the smoke with a touch of white pepper on the finish. The burn was perfect, no relights or corrections required and it left me with a clean aftertaste.

Didn't realised Monticristo make NC aswell....I know cohiba do with the red brand....are there many Cuban - non Cuban brands?

Virtually all the Cuban brand names have an NC pretender, a lot because the makers fled Cuba after the revolution and took the names with them.
