Digging around the bottom of one of the humi?s, looking for inspiration, and found a box of Serie du Connaisseur No.3. from Nov 1998.
Sadly, another under-rated, discontinued classic.
Excellent construction, perfect draw.. smooth, creamy and mellow.
Like a well aged, vintage wine, it?s taste and bouquet both elegant and refined. The brashness of its youth long dissipated.
Luxuriant from start to finish.
Bravo Habanos..!

Nice little read. Love that lamp too!

Had a couple of great smokes tonight, and strangely enough my first was the same as El Catador, a Partagas Serie du connoisseur No. 3. However mine wasn't from 1998, it was 2001.
I couldn't of said it more eloquently so I'll let you read the above [emoji1360][emoji41]. To me it's the sort of cigar that ruins other cigars as it was just so good.
Following that, I went to meet tommy and he and his wife fed and watered me. Some lovely Chinese food and a glass of Glenlivet 15yo. I had a SLR Pacifico and he enjoyed a LGC... Think it was a MDO.2 I think.
The SLR was as always, un-fault-able (is that a word??). Perfect construction and as from 09 mellowed out into a fine smoke with a creamy floral sweetness to it that I love with hints of spice and cocoa.
